Directions and position

The “Ländle”, as the area is fondly referred to in the local dialect, is a jewel at the heart of central Europe – both steeped in tradition and yet oriented towards the future and cosmopolitan. This makes the excellent mobility network extremely valuable to tourism and the economy as it is to the local population.

From all directions, whether from Switzerland via the A1, from the direction of the Allgäu via the A96 or coming from Tirol, it takes just one hour to travel to the Alpine resort of Schröcken.

Within a radius of less than a three hour drive, you will find the most important airports in South Germany (Munich MUC, Stuttgart STR, Memmingen FMM, Friedrichshafen FDH) and Switzerland (Zurich ZRH, Altenrhein ACH).

The airport at Innsbruck (INN), particularly highly frequented in the winter months, is less than 2 hours away. All airports in the region are easily accessible using local transfer operators with private shuttles and busses.
Anyone who would rather drive here themselves can do this with their own car, a hire car or cost-effectively using the excellent public transport network by rail and bus.
